Hindus across the nation are celebrating the auspicious festival of Nag Panchami. According to Hindu calendar, Nag Panchami falls on the fifth day of Shravan month. It usually comes two days after Hariyali Teej. This time, Nag Panchami will be celebrated on Monday, August 5, 2019.
It is believed in Hindus that worshiping on Nag Panchami will protect you from all kinds of snakes. People also mark this day as the victory of Lord Krishna over Kaliya snake. Milk, dessert, flowers and lamps are being offered to bring good luck in one’s life.
